Manchester United long-term target and Bayern Munich Star may have dropped the biggest hint that he is interested in a move to Manchester United after the forward admitted he finds the Premier League wages to be very tempting.
Man United’s executive Vice-Chair, Ed Woodward made several attempts to snatch the World Cup winner this summer, but all of them hit the wall. Bayern Munich indicated that there was no chance they were going to sell the talismanic center forward, nor did he have any interest of leaving the club.
The 26 year-old has admitted that the potential wage packages on offer in England are “Very tempting”.
“In the end we should not forget that playing football is our job. So people should accept that wages will always play a role in a player’s decision-making. Of course, the wages that are being paid in the Premier League are very tempting. It would be hypocrisy to deny that,” he said.
“You have to look at the complete package to determine whether something is right for you. What’s good for you one day will not necessarily still be good for you the day after. I know a lot of German clubs are not happy with the Premier League clubs’ spending, but I think it is something good for all the clubs in the end. It can only be a good thing for football when clubs invest so much money,” he adds.
The news will disconcert Bayern Munich Fans as Muller is a club hero. Recently, Bayern Munich’s CEO Kalr-Heinz Rummenige revealed he had to tell United to stop making enquiries about Thomas. “There is no price, Thomas Muller has four years more on his contract. There is no one, not here or anywhere, who can explain to me why we should sell Thomas Muller” Rummenige said.
