Here are a few tips on how to avoid procrastination.
Create a Conducive environment
Start by knowing the thigs that easily distract you from reaching your final goal, then formulate a way of avoiding them. If you notice you are unable with the TV on, it is better to switch it off, or head to a library or a quiet place to do your work.
Break the work into segments
When you break your work into segment, you can be sure that you will be doing the right thing at the right time. You can say for example that from day one to day three, you shall building the foundation, from day four to five, put up the roof. Or you can divide your day into working segments; you can divide your task by hours or minutes.
Breaking down large tasks into smaller ones makes it manageable to the mind on a psychological level so you don’t wander off looking for distractions.
Ask for help
If you don’t understand or don’t know where to begin on a project, asking for help from another person can help you understand and focus on what you need to do.
Avoid Social media sites
This is probably my hardest thing to do. Social media is a fantastic tool for keeping in touch with people and the world, but it also can be a huge black hole that swallows your time and concentration. Very many people waste a lot of valuable time on social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google + and dating sites. You really need this time to think and to implement your business strategies.
